It’s wedding season!
First I would like to say Congratulations to our good friend Matt who got married Last Friday, in Athens Georgia. Matt and my Husband have been friends since Middle School. They both graduated high school in 2003, so you can imagine how long they’ve been friends lol!
Matt met his wife at East Carolina University about 3-4 years ago and have been inseparable since then. Matthews’ wife is from Georgia, so of course they had their amazing wedding in this cute little town named Athens. I’ve been down south plenty of times, but this trip felt extra special. Not only were we gonna celebrate this awesome wedding, but of course we were gonna try some good mom and pop joints. Everything we ate in Athens was amazing. I think one of the best parts of eating out, were the PRICES! Everything was super cheap! And the servers were all so pleasant, polite, and always had smiles on their faces.
Our good friends Ramon and Nicole came down with us to the wedding. Ramon was in the wedding along with my husband. Nicole and I were running errands, and we decided to have coffee. Now yes, Starbucks is amazing and addicting but let’s be honest, why would you wanna have Starbucks in a cute little town, knowing Starbucks will still be here in Maryland when you get back? So on our way back to the hotel, we saw a really nice brick building and one of its signs said, “Iron Works Coffee Co.” So we pulled up to the building and walked in… and we were just amazed on how cute this little coffee shop was! I’ve never seen a coffee shop this amazing. Honestly I think I was more excited about all their décor then trying their coffee. I just kept thinking about how they can pull all these crazy decor ideas together and make it look so good? I know I could never pull that off at my house. Considering it was hot in Georgia, I still wanted hot cup coffee. I believe it was because I saw homemade cinnamon buns; and for some reason when I want to eat pastry, I like to eat it with a hot cup of coffee. So I ended up getting a Vanilla Latte and it was pure heaven. It’s hard for me to describe a good cup of coffee, but if you are a coffee lover, you just know, and you know your’re having a good cup of coffee when you end up forgetting that you have to be at the rehearsal with your husband in like 20 minutes, Yikes! I was so distracted by the décor and not to mention this was also a lobby to a hotel. How cool is that?! If you’re ever in Athens, Georgia make sure you check out this cute coffee shop! I can go on and on about where to eat in Athens, but this coffee shop stands out the most for me!
