I’ve pretty much had every hummus out there even truffle hummus which wasn’t good, but hey I had to try it because I was really curious. You know how that is…
I normally pair my hummus with Pita chips, pita bread, wraps, with carrots, regular corn chips, or even with your dinner. This is a must at a get together with friends or when you’re sitting alone reading a book.
If you ever had cilantro hummus from the grocery store, I’m sure you know how good it tastes and Man O Man it is delicious and honestly it’s one of those things that I don’t feel guilty eating and can just sit there and eat and eat. So I made my own version, of cilantro hummus. It’s super easy and delicious. I dipped my cilantro hummus with Pita Bread from the grocery store. I’m sure you can find a good recipe for pita bread or you can go to Moby’s Dick and just buy their pita bread. You can’t go wrong with their pita bread! I think I can just eat it by its self…wait let me take that back it would go well with this cilantro hummus…..mmmm yummy!
This hummus is a nice crowd pleaser. It’s really beautiful in color and it’s has a beautiful and amazing smell of cilantro. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
- 2 cups of Cilantro
- 3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
- 1 15.5oz of Chickpeas aka Garbanzo Beans
- 1½ of Lemon
- 2 Cloves of Garlic
- 3 Slices of Jalapeño
- 1 Tablespon of Tahini
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- Drain the liquid of the Garbanzo Beans
- Then add all ingredients to the food processor or blender.
- Blend all the ingredients until it's the consistency of hummus.
- Salt & Pepper to Taste.
